Dr. Carlisle Goddard PMJF

DISTRICT GOVERNOR

He was a founding member of the Leo Club of Coleridge & Parry in 1983, which was chartered by the Lions Club of Barbados North.

Lion Aird Atherley, Leo Advisor, and a teacher at Coleridge & Parry School was the person whom introduced Lion Dr Carlisle to the world of Lionism. He ascended through the ranks of Leoism serving in every capacity except that of secretary.

He was the third president of the Leo Club of Coleridge & Parry. In 1987 he was awarded the Leo Award of Honour for his years of service and dedication to the movement.

In 1989 he transferred his membership to the Leo Club of Bridgetown where he was an active member until 1991 when he went to Jamaica to

study.

Whilst in Jamaica studying medicine, he transferred his membership to the Leo Club of Kingston in 1991 and subsequently became a Lion on October 3rd, 1996

Of interest his sponsor was the late Lion Milton Pinnock MJF past District Governor from the Lions Club of Mona Jamaica.

On return to Barbados Lion Dr. Carlisle transferred his membership to the Lions Club of Bridgetown in 1997. In this club he served in several capacities including: Leo Advisor, Director, Chairman of Health Committee and Vice President and as President in 2007-2008. During his year of presidency three former Leos was inducted as members of the Bridgetown Lions Club. Lion Dr. Carlilse has held various Cabinet and District positions over his collective years in Lionism including:

Associate Chairman for Physical Disabilities (1997-98)

Associate Chairman for Diabetes (1998-99)

Associate Chairman for Health (1999-2000)

Associate District Chairman for Community Partnership and Enabling (2004-06)

District Chairman for Sight and Health (2005-06)

Multiple District Chairman for Leos (2006-07)

Convention Chairman 2011 Barbados

Zone Chairman 2012-13

Serve on the International Board for three (3) years 2015-2018 for Diabetes

He was awarded an International President’s award in 2018- the second highest award of a sitting international president

Lion Dr. Carlisle is a graduate of Regional Lions Leader Institute (2000), Advance Lions Leadership Institute (2012) and is a Faculty Development Institute (2022).

Lion Dr. Carlisle is married and his partner in service is Maxine McClean-Goddard.

He is a Consultant Internist and Endocrinologist. He has private practices- The Endocrine Centre Inc. with branches in Lodge Hill, St. Michael and Hoppin Medical Clinic in Speightstown St. Peter.
