Union Island Lions Club in collaboration with the Organisation of the Advancement of the Caribbean (OAC) has secured free medical and dental services with International Medical Relief (IMR) which is based in Colorado, USA.  The arrangement between both entities covers a period of five (5) years. As part of this collaborative effort, the Club hosted the IMR team which comprised of medical and non-medical professionals from August 13 – 18, 2023. The team provided a range of health care services including: medical consultations, dental care, eye care, pain management care and CPR training/certification to residents of Union Island and neighboring communities.  The team also visited and attended to seniors and shut-in residents. 

A total of 350 persons at an estimated total cost of USD$80,000 were served.  The Club contributed USD$600.00 towards the project.  The project had a positive and lasting impact on the community.  The Club looks forward to hosting the medical team in 2024.  Congratulations to the Lions Club of Union Island on this impactful project.  Continue to serve with Kindness.
